<h3>St Brigid</h3>
An original poem and art I created to mark the arrival of Spring on the 1st of February.
“The First Day of Spring”
Say goodbye to old man winter
As the spring season enters.
Brigid and Imbolc return
On a frosty February morn.
Dawn rays penetrate the sky
Deeper, stronger, brighter.
The land is alive with restless blood
And bare trees present their buds.
Dormant seeds begin to stir
In the belly of Mother Nature.
Procreation is in the air
And courting birds begin to pair.
And brighter days stretch longer
Towards the warm blue summer.
A promise of better weather to come
And many exciting things to be done.
We feel the sun on our pale faces
And dream of visiting faraway places.
Farmers ploughs the fields
Thinking about autumn yields.
Earth provides new possibilities&nbsp;
For annual rebirth and fertility.
There is a fresh hope
and we welcome the growth.

St.Brigid, a patron saint of Ireland returns to prominence as the healer and protector.
The first of February also known as Imbolc - a festival in the Celtic calendar to celebrate the start of Spring.

The last two years have been so difficult for everyone. The isolation, worry and stress that we have all felt has taken a real toll – especially on those affected by suicide and self-harm.&nbsp;
So, this year we need to come together again and walk side by side to say to those in crisis:
You are not alone. There is hope. We are here for you.
So please, save the date and help us make this the biggest and brightest Darkness Into Light ever!

@bsrac.ie With the relaunch of our healthy eating campaign, our brilliant pupils showed off their healthy lunches for this month's 'Taste It Tuesday!'
We got some great ideas for our lunchboxes from @hihealthyireland and @safefood.net
It was a great success and we really enjoyed discussing our healthy food choices with our friends and teachers!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to welcome full back Darragh O’Sullivan Connell to the club for the 2022 season!

Darragh joins the club from College Corinthians AFC in the Munster Senior League.
We look forward to seeing Darragh in the season ahead in a special centenary year at St Colman’s Park.

After three seasons and 66 first team appearances, Charlie Lyons has left the club to join Galway United F.C.&nbsp;

We also have a special guest on the show. @jantastic2 jumps on the live line for a brief chat about her path to the next Olympics and trip to Kenya to train with the legends of the sport. There’s also some insight into the mushroom wrap sandwich controversy and coach @pete.j.julian. Sonia gives her side of the story.
