<h3><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">Cobh Tidy Towns</span></h3>
<p>It's been 2 weeks since the awards and it’s been all about community! Our volunteers were out litter picking &amp; leaf gathering from footpaths all around town today. Our Gaisce - The President's Award students helped write inspiring words on our Christmas tree decorations. We met with lots of you at Carrig House to give out bird food, holders, posters and garden bird posters in advance of the BirdWatch Ireland survey beginning Monday 29th November. The Cobh birds will be very happy.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We were delighted to meet up with Ballymore Community Association who had their community Christmas clean up today in preparation for lighting up the village. Our Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town trophy has had quite an outing this week meeting many of those involved in our success! Thank you very much all for your lovely messages and support.</p>

<p>Such a lovely morning was had by all at our Winter Clean-Up in the village today. The first highlight of our morning was a most lovely visit from Ruth and Hendrick, Cobh Tidy Towns, with their absolutely fabulous trophy for winning the tidiest largest town award in all of Ireland. What a fantastic achievement and so very very well deserved.</p>
<p>The second highlight of our morning was a most appreciated gesture from Yvonne and James who had coffee, tea, scones and mince pies for all the volunteers in the High Chapperal which was so very welcome on this cold morning. Volunteers were out picking, strimming, planting and preparing for Christmas from dawn to dusk today and by next weekend we should be all set for the festive season ahead. With sincere gratitude to each and every one.</p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">Due to a tsunami of leaves blown down the road at East Ferry during our recent westerly winds, we have had bag loads of leaves for mulch, also known since time began, as Mother Nature's "Liquid Gold" Organic Fertiliser. There are four full bags left on the roadside down by the boat just now so please feel free to take them or bring your own bag to fill, as we left a heap nearby and plenty for all! </span></p>

<p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">A hopeful Monday motivation and reflection for our week ahead, as we begin our Advent Season. We celebrate Mass each day at 9.30 am in Norwood, Monday to Thursday, and 7 pm on Friday, and 10 am in St Colman’s Cathedral and it is also streamed online-we hope you can join us in prayer in person or online. </span></p>

It's that time of year again where we're asking local businesses to decorate their shop fronts and enter the "Best Dressed Window Competition" sponsored by the @portofcork. Entries will be judged on Wed 15th December and the winner will be announced on Friday 17th so it's time to get decorating! </span></p>
