<p>Privileged to celebrate her birthday in Medugorje  courtesy of my first cousin Sheila Kelleher,  who has brought 58 pilgrims for the Feast. Its my 3rd pilgrimage with  Sheila this year. She brings about 6 groups a year and we have others from Cobh here with us. Today marks her 24th year of bringing pilgrims here. At dinner she got a huge surprise when the host family,  Jerkovic, family presented a beautiful cake of which the  58 pilgrims enjoyed for desert. This morning went to the Blue X mountain and to the home of one of the visionaries to pray. We had the english mass at noon in a packed hall, not enough room in the church. The main International mass will be a 6 and thousands are expected to attend</p>

<p>Since 1967, International Literacy Day (ILD) celebrations have taken place annually around the world to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights, and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Bun Scoil Rinn and Chabhlaigh</h2>
<p>The Parents Association are currently looking for Volunteers to help with CAPER (Child &amp; Parent Enjoy Reading Together).&nbsp;</p>
<p>CAPER is on every Tues, Weds &amp; Thurs from 9-9.30am in the school. If you are interested &amp; think you might be available for some/all of these days please contact Jessica, Claire or Arancha at parents@bsrac.ie&nbsp;</p>

<p>Time to say goodbye to the trophy for winning “Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town” in the 2021 TidyTowns Ireland competition. Time for the 2022 inscriptions to be put on all the trophies.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It’s been our pleasure hosting you and while the window at the The Commodore Hotel, Cobh will be a little quieter we wish all the 870 towns the best of luck and look forward to the 2022 results later in October.</p>
