St Vincent DePaul

undefined

Today is the Feast of Saint Vincent de Paul, let us remember in our prayers all who offer care to those in need in his name in our parish. St Vincent De Paul is a much loved Saint in IRELAND for a unique reason. The saint Vincent De Paul Society is the most recognised charity outlet in Ireland. At most masses at the weekend and particularly in towns they raise much of their funds through collections at the weekend masses. Cobh has a particularly vibrant present. In a changing economic climate, two major issues now arise, the number of those needing support has risen and will rise even further, this will provide the organisation with a major task to find funding for the many needs. With the decline in church attendances the opportunity to garner much needed funds has declined as well. We can be grateful in Cobh for the tremendous work of St Vincent DePaul and we should support them at every opportunity

St Vincent de Paul, pray for us 🙏🏻

We would like to wish our Maintenance Supervisor John Dowdall all the best.

A large number of staff, family and friends gathered to celebrate the special occasion last week. A day to remember 🎉

John, don’t forget we are always on the lookout for volunteers when you start missing us 😂

Take care and enjoy your retirement from all of your friends in the centre
