<p>Great effort from Cobh Friday with a huge mix of events on throughout the town for Culture Night Cork County .</p>
<p>It was great to see Polish Ambassador to Ireland Anna Sochańska enjoying being in Cobh this afternoon.</p>
<p>Below is a selection of some of the events held today and this evening and well done to Polska Eire Festival Cobh also.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Friday  saw Culture Night 2022 take place all over the country and such an array of fantastic events in Cobh!</p>
<p>We were delighted to present our 'Moments in Time' cultural event  to an appreciative audience at Coliemore - The Artists House the wonderful home of Artist John Adams and we cannot thank John enough for hosting our event.</p>
<p>Our presentation this year was very different to other years as we took a personal trip down memory lane through stories, poetry, song and laughter with family photos and stories of historic family homes, Islanders, market traders, brave men and women of the 1798 rebellion, 1916, WW2, country living and visits, politics and a trans continent love story!! A true cultural journey!</p>
<p>Huge thank to Wolf Delius our fantastic guest singer and to Marion Horgan for her beautiful recording of 'One moment in Time' Thank you also to Grainne O'Connor for an amazing job in co-ordinating Culture Night Cork County!</p>

<p>Absolutely brilliant work carried out this beautiful September morning preparing for  our anniversary celebrations this evening at Ballymore Community Centre which is commencing at 5.30pm.Hope you all have a great evening.🎉🥳Also this morning the new picnic table was placed at Glenmore and is such a great addition to this area. Sincere thanks once again to all of our fabulous volunteers.What an amazing crew! 👏👏</p>

<p><br>We were thrilled to be joined by some members of Cobh Golf Club and some Cobh TY students beginning their Gaisce - The President's Award journey with us from St Als Carrigtwohill. We painted railings, litterpicked, swept kerbsides and did some Coastwatch survey units. Icing on the cake was an invite up to the golf club for tasty soup &amp; sandwiches. What gorgeous views from the club house there and a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast , lunch or a cuppa. Thank you for the hospitality. Really feeling the strength of community collaboration in our town and thankful for the voluntary effort put in by so many across sporting, leisure and educational fields to nurture the Cobh community spirit</p>
