<p>This morning marked the last day of u6 Gaa training for this year. <br>Well done to all the boys &amp; girls who trained during the year &amp; thanks to all the parents/coaches who helped out during the season. A big thank you to the boys from the u12 team that won the double this year for presenting the medals at this mornings session😊</p>

<p>A well-drilled platoon of BCAC athletes will venture forth to the County Juvenile B &amp; Masters Cross Country Championships this Monday afternoon.<br><br>Armed with spikes and their new fancy-dan club tent, 22 athletes aged 7 to 65 will do battle through the fields of White's Cross in what are likely to be Somme-like conditions.<br><br>Racing from 750m to 7,000m, may the force be with you all.</p>

<p>Back out and big celebrations for Cobh’s success yesterday as well as Jackie’s 50th Birthday! We got down to planting the barrels at the ferry, Whitepoint, Spy Hill and Cathedral leaving the Nepeta and Lamium for next years bees and adding Muscari 🐝 &amp; Daffodil bulbs with Bellis and Polyanthus. Litter picking and leaf gathering all done too. Happy birthday to Tania in Truly Scrumptious too. Thanks to our fabulous volunteers for their dedication👏🏻</p>

<p>U12 Division 4 Girls<br><br>Douglas Hall  AFC 3-3 Springfield Ramblers <br><br>A fantastic second half performance seen the girls come from 3-1 down to share a spoil of the points this morning away to Douglas Hall. Springfield started the brighter of the two taking the lead after 10 mins when Sarah Field beat two players on the wing to drive towards goal and finish with an unstoppable shot into the top corner beyond the reach of the Douglas Hall goalkeeper.<br><br>Douglas Hall enjoyed a period of dominance from here till halftime which seen them pick up 3 goals and go into the half 3-1 up.<br><br>Springfield came out the second half with a fantastic energy and started to get stuck in and play some brilliant football. Fantastic closing down by Elizabeth O'Regan saw the ball fall to Faye Creevy in behind the defence and she outran the defenders to beat the goalkeeper to make it 3-2. With ten mins remaining Springfield found themselves tied when again great work by Elizabeth O'Regan saw her hit the back of the net to bring the game to 3-3. <br><br>Our girls were unlucky not to get the winner in the last 10 mins where they threw everything at Douglas Hall looking to find the back of the net but only for some fantastic defending on another day would have went in. <br><br>A tie probably a just result for what was an terrific game played in great spirits by both sides. <br><br>Played well: Kayla Louth, Elizabeth O'Regan, Faye Creevy<br>Player of the match: Sarah Field<br><br>Cork Women's Soccer</p>

<p>MAKING PIZZA IN RANG A SÉ!🍕<br><br>As a reward for making fantastic progress this term and marking the conclusion of our current procedural writing focus, sixth class had lots of fun making pizza this week! 🇮🇹<br><br>The boys and girls analysed procedural writing pieces from books, examined recipes online and wrote their our own Hallowe'en inspired pizza recipes! 📚💻<br><br>The children put their learning into practice and focused on gathering the ingredients needed, using sequential words to understand the progression of procedural writing's step-by-step nature and used descriptive language to highlight the yummy taste of their creations! 😋<br><br>Well done, rang a sé! 🌟</p>
