<p>BSRAC are super proud of our pupil, Chloe (Rang 4) who has been extremely busy creating a selection of art works which she will sell at the Cobh Christmas Fayre this Sunday (27th November) 🙌<br><br>Chloe has created a selection of paintings, drawings, bracelets and phone charms which will be available to buy from 10am at @greatislandcommunitycentre! 👏 <br><br>She will also be running a raffle on the day with some gorgeous hampers up for grabs! 🎟️<br><br>Chloe is an avid reader and she has decided to donate any money she makes from Saturday's sale to our school library in order to buy more books! 📚<br><br>A massive thank you to Chloe and her family and we encourage all of you to support this girl's fantastic creations on Saturday! 🌟<br><br>Comhghairdeachas, Chloe!&nbsp;</p>
<h3>COBH FIRE BRIGADE VISITS JUNIOR INFANTS AT BSRAC! 🚒</h3>

<p>Our junior infants were treated to a lovely visit from Cobh Fire Brigade today! 🔥<br><br>The children enjoyed exploring the role of the fire service in our community and the important role they play in keeping everyone safe! 🧑‍🚒<br><br>The boys and girls learned all about how all the different parts of the engine works, the special clothes the fire brigade wear to keep them safe and they even got to sit into the truck! 🚒<br><br>A fantastic experience for all today and massive thanks to Paul Lyons who organised the visit! 👏<br><br>What a fantastic day for BSRAC's junior infants! 🌟</p>

<p>BSRAC was well represented at a recent soccer tournament held in Carrigaline this week! 👏<br><br>The boys and girls have been practicing hard after school to develop their skills, increase their knowledge of the game and enjoy their time on the pitch! 🥅<br><br>We were delighted to have won several of the games throughout the day and our pupils represented us so well! 💙💚🧡<br><br>Many thanks to all the staff members and community volunteers that have helped develop football in our school! 🏟️<br><br></p>

<p>Rang 6 at BSRAC have been having lots of fun over the past couple of weeks during their rugby block of sessions</p>
<p>They have developing their skills, playing tag rugby games and learning about the importance of collaboration and communication in the game of rugby! 🌟<br><br>Massive thank to Kevin Bohane for facilitating the sessions as part of this fantastic @munsterrugby initiative! 🦌<br><br>We look forward to welcoming you back to BSRAC in the future for some more rugby fun!&nbsp;</p>

<p>CLBB U13 League 1<br>Cobh 28<br>Ballincollig 46<br><br>Our U13 girls entertained Ballincollig in a Cork Ladies Basketball Board league game. The game was played in Coláiste Muire, Cobh.<br><br>Having not played in the U12 league last year, the girls have had to learn quickly in order to be competitive. It is a credit to them and their coaches that they have progressed very quickly and this game showed how much progress they have made. <br><br>The first quarter was a bit of a struggle as Ballincollig were quick out of the blocks and opened up a nice lead. Isabelle O’Callaghan did most of the damage for Ballincollig in the opening quarter. Sophia Allen had a nice basket for Cobh but we trailed 2–16 at the end of the quarter.<br><br>Quarter 2 saw the home side up their intensity at both ends of the floor. While Ballincollig still held the upper hand, baskets from Faye Murphy, Isabelle Geary, and a free throw from Naoise Ryan, saw Cobh turn some decent possession into scores.<br><br>The second half saw Cobh match Ballincollig basked for basket in what was a very entertaining two quarters of basketball. The improvement in the Cobh girls since the start of the season was very evident as they played some excellent basketball with some excellent support play. Naoise Ryan started converting good opportunities into scores and she received great support from Lara Balanzin Fallyn Hastings and Favour Pedro. Layla Dunphy, Caoimhe Hamilton and Lilly Barry also played their part in a much improved second half. Faye and Isabelle added to their first half scores and Sophia continues to impress as a player with excellent potential. <br><br>Cobh edged the second half 21-20 and while Ballincollig’s first half display merited the victory, it is to Cobh’s credit that they never dropped their heads and battled to the final buzzer. <br><br>Next up for the U13s is a home game on Sunday, 4th December at 11:00 against Donoughmore. <br><br>Team: Isabelle Geary, Layla Dunphy, Favour Pedro, Fallyn Hastings, Lara Balanzin, Rachel Hastings Gilley, Sophia Allen, Faye Murphy, Caoimhe Hamilton, Lilly Barry, Naoise Ryan.</p>

<p>Floodlit Centenary Cup Final Result: Cobh Wanderers 3-2 Mayfield United.<br>Scorers: Chris Courtney, Jason McGroarty, O.G.<br>Wanderers lifted the second of the MSL Centenary cups tonight in terrible conditions on the Mayfield Astroturf. Chris Courtney gave Wanderers the lead after 19 minutes. A corner from the right was half cleared before a cross found Chubbs at the far post. His ball back into the box was stabbed forward by Jason McGroarty and fortunately fell to Chris Courtney and he steered the ball past the keeper from close range. Mayfield equalised before halftime. Jason McGroarty made it 2-1 early in the second half when he fired to the roof of the net from inside the six yard box. Mayfield levelled again just a couple of minutes later but an unfortunate own goal off the head of a defender gifted Wanderers the lead again just two minutes after that. Wanderers held out, under a lot of pressure from Mayfield, to claim the cup on a 3-2 score line.
