<p>FUN-FILLED DAY IN RANG A SÉ! 🎊<br><br>Rang a Sé have been having lots of fun this week exploring the 2022 World Cup! ⚽<br><br>The boys and girls completed research projects on each of the countries taking part in 2022 Football World Cup and shared their findings with the rest of the classes! 🥅<br><br>They also made fußball tables during art and played some penalty shootouts with one another! 🏟️<br><br>They also celebrated with a pizza party courtesy of Ms. McDonagh who has been working with sixth class over the past number of weeks! 🍕</p>

<p>A red sky start to the day but we managed to get out and tackle a few jobs before the rain arrived. A huge volume of leaves cleared from footpaths all around town - Heritage Centre area, Promenade, both squares, Westview area and the High Road Leonard’s Lodge side. Hoping the council Street and Road sweepers will be able to keep on top of these and other areas now. The boxes in Ticknock Hill were planted with Polyanthus, Bellis, Tulip, Daffodils and Muscari. Great news is that we are almost sold out of our 2023 calenders! <p>First year students made the trip to UCC on Friday night to watch Dr Declan Kennedy's magic show as part of Science Week. Thanks to Mr Ellis, Ms Cleary, Ms Redmond and the TY students for organising the trip and accompanying the group.</p>

<p>A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Nail Salon this week-Cuticle 2.0 <br><br>It was a great success and we had a great time painting nails for Stand Up Awareness Week. <br><br>Huge credit goes to our student committee who worked so hard to plan and prepare this weeks events. Well done!&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Greeting from Donegal on the eve of the National XCountry Championships</h3>

<p>After a journey of 601 kms arrived safely at our base at Dunfanaghy at around 5pm. Thanks to Carol our brilliant pilot. After one stop near Drogheda we stopped off at the course at Rossapena. We were greeted by Athletics Ireland President John Cronin who was born a few miles from the course. The rain poured down but we took the time to walk the course. It is relatively flat and bone dry, it will make for fascinating races tomorrow. When we arrived at the hotel just a few miles from Creeslough, the first person we met was Anika Thompson, who traveled all the way from Eugene in Oregon in the West coast of the USA  for the event on the hope of making the Irish team for the European championships. I stayed with Anika's parents,  when I was at the World championships in August. Anika travelled here from Cork with her grandparents Dan Joe  and  Anne Marie Kelleher from Ovens. I had not met Dan Joe for 40 years. After dinner we had mass on the Feast of Christ the King with Anika and Ava sharing the readings Good luck to them tomorrow. We enjoyed Irelands victory over Australia in Rugby to the delight of the capacity audience here in the hotel.<br><br></p>
