<p><br>All Saints’ Day, also known as the Feast or Solemnity of All Saints, is celebrated every year on 1 November. <br><br>On this day, which is a Holy Day of Obligation, we honour all of the Saints and ask them to pray for us.<br><br>Mass times today are as follows: <br><br>10am St Colman's Cathedral <br>9.30am Norwood <br>7pm Ballymore</p>

<p><br>Our U16A girls continued their excellent start to the season with a comfortable win over Brunell in the Parochial Hall.<br><br>Cobh were dominant from the tip off with Katie Tarrant, Lucy Walsh, Francesca Kyamagero and Laia Páez in excellent scoring form. Francesca had 10 first-quarter points with 8 from Katie, 6 from Lucy and 4 from Laia doing most of the damage. Lydia Kahn also chipped in with a basket.<br><br>The second quarter saw Clodagh Downey, Lurdes Trillo and Isabelle Bardsley get their names on the scoresheet against a Brunell side who were missing their Cork player, Abbie Lyons. Cobh continued to dominate the game and the result was beyond doubt by half time.<br><br>Cobh used the second half to rotate players in and out and give valuable minutes to all the players. Ayeka Council made her first appearance of the season and scored a basket while Cobh’s Katie Tarrant also weighed in with a basket. Further baskets from Kate Cronin and Lucy Sheridan ensured that all Cobh players got their names on the scoresheet. <br><br>Tougher tests lie ahead for this talented team with Mallow visiting Coláiste Muire on the 20th of November. This promises to be a very competitive game between two of the best teams in the league. <p>Great night had by all as The Ballymore Vintage club presented a cheque to Toddy Stafford of Cobh Community Hospital.Proceeds of our annual Threshing day - Thanks to all who supported the Threshing day &amp; continue to support the great &amp; vital work done by Erica &amp; all the staff of Cobh Community Hospital - community spirit at its best.</p>

<h3>Colaiste Muire. Cheque Presentation</h3>
<p>On Monday of last week, we were thrilled to present the O' Callaghan Family with the monies we raised from our Cake Sale for Kevin last month. In total we raised €1850 for Kevin and his family. <br><br>In February 2022, Kevin, a brother of our teacher, colleague and friend, had a life changing accident in Paris, France. As a school community, we wanted to help the O' Callaghan family make the changes necessary to their home to bring Kevin home and help get him walking again. A huge thank you to our school community who baked, donated and helped with our Cake Sale.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Fota survival</h2>

<p>9 'new Recruits' will arrive at Fota Island Adventure at 12pm on Friday 4th of November for a 48 hour Fota Survival Challenge in aid of the Mercy Hospital Foundation Cork. Their expedition will begin with a training session, followed by a 48 hour stint that will see recruits complete a number of challenges including kayaking, hiking, mind games, individual and team games such as archery; as well as sleeping out under the stars! Recruits will be provided with basic food rations to sustain them until 12pm on Sunday 6th of November when their challenge is complete.</p>

<p>Another marathon on the board, back at the scene of my first in 2014. <br><br>50th place overall &amp; just 19 seconds short of my best on a day when challenging conditions &amp; a tricky course saw many running into trouble. <br><br>I’m so lucky to be able to prepare for these events as I do and make such great friends along the way.  <br><br>Thanks as always to everyone who supports me, most especially my family, Emmett Dunleavy, @AdamMcCarthy &amp; @LouiseOConnell <br><br>Feet up for the week ahead and on to the next target then 🇺🇸</p>

<p>Great morning of hurling on Saturday for the U10s at a very well organised 8 team tournament in Mayfield. The lads got to play 4 matches versus Carrignavar, Mayfield, Cashel King Cormacs and Passage. Cobh were very competitive in all games so well done lads and keep up the practice.</p>
