<p>Great progress with work carried out on our heritage walls plus litter picking,painting and clearing at Ballymore Hill and village on our weekly community Tuesday evenings clean up yesterday.A big thank you to our fabulous volunteers and also to the village residents for taking good care of all the half barrels and window boxes whose flowers are blooming and are such a lovely colourful sight in the village.</p>

<h3>Cobh Peoples Regatta</h3>

<p>This year at the Cobh People's Regatta we have 17 live bands performing!!! On Saturday the 13th August at 12.30pm we are kicking off the day with local band Sway. Relax in the Promenade and listen to Sway perform the classics of Frank Sanatra to Stevie Wonder and beyond. There will be a full market on the day filled with food and drinks and local crafters so plenty to see and do on the Saturday morning before the madness kicks off with the kiddies parade and activities. Hope to see you all there!</p>
<h3>SIRIUS and Create Artist Residency Award 2022</h3>

<p>SIRIUS and Create in Dublin are offering a residency opportunity for a collaborative and/or socially-engaged artist. We are committed to supporting the selected artists’ interests as well as practices that either directly address the connection between art and activism, or broadly contribute to a discussion around commoning, locality, the public sphere and civic action.</p>
<p>In keeping with both SIRIUS and Create’s commitment to principles of equality, diversity and inclusion, we particularly welcome expressions of interest from artists from minority ethnic backgrounds and/or who have lived experience of displacement and/or are shaped by histories of intergenerational migration.</p>
<p>The residency takes place at SIRIUS between 22 September and 18 October. It provides opportunities for exchange, networking, and learning, with additional curatorial advice from SIRIUS. In addition, SIRIUS and Create support the selected artist to explore areas of their practice in an environment of rigorous discussion and critical feedback.</p>

<p>Birmingham Southern College is a private college in Birmingham, Alabama. Founded in 1856, the college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
