Preparations are well on their way for Cobh St Patrick’s Day 2023.
We had a great meeting this evening with thank's to Cobh Community Centre for providing our committee a room to discuss plans for making our National Day of Celebrations in 2023 a great day for Cobh and the Great Island residents. Thank you all once again for your support. We will Update our Facebook page and website along the journey to St Patrick's Day 2023. A big shout out to all Cobh St Patrick's Day Committee members for their time and dedication 💚🍀 Lot's of work to do
October is Reuse Month and this is Climate Action Week. Take part in Cobh by buying a 🥰 reusable Cobh Coffee Community Cup available in Truly Scrumptious Caterers Cobh in the Promenade and Garvey's Supervalu Cobh to reduce single use cups.
Also take part in the Clothes Swap organised by Cobh Zero Waste this Sunday. All welcome.
And for the last time this season the trackers will be out! Between IM and 70.3 we have 5 Cobh Tri members towing the line in Cascais on Saturday.....conditions are looking good. Best of luck to you all. We'll be watcing and waiting updates from the support crew!

Hope you're all well and good today,,, we have been cultivating gourmet mushrooms for a few years now and recently we have setup our own cultivation Lab here in Cobh, currently we have commercial 10Lb blocks ready to start producing mushrooms with very little effort for the end user. We have pink and grey oyster ready through our online shop www.botanicrevival.ie for local pickup but feel free to drop us a message on Facebook or email us on info@botanicrevival.ie for further info.
The picture of the Pink Oyster block below was taken today and these grew in less than a week!
We hope to have Lion's Mane available quite soon so for all gourmet and medicinal mushroom lovers out there don't hesitate to give us a shout.

Sixth class were delighted to undertake a selection of rugby skills sessions with Munster Rugby today! 🦌
The children learned about the different types of fine/gross motor skills, passing skills and scoring skills that are needed to be successful in the sport! 🌟

Continuing the ethos of a critical review of Marie Brett’s practice, Chris Hayes delivers a talk on folklore, postcolonialism and care in an Irish context, followed by a discussion with Brett around the themes of her work.
Chris Hayes is a critic based in London.
Marie Brett's exhibition The Hidden Mountain, the Fort and the Five Trees features works - including a commissioned, newly made installation - that consider social, psychological, allegorical, and mystical methods of processing trauma, conflict, and control.

Well done to our 5th Year students for completing their Study Skills Seminar on Monday last.
Students focused on Goal setting, time management and well-being. Thank you again, to Conor from Inspire Education for such an informative seminar.
Evening Supervised Study for All 5th years commences Monday 17th October.
It is on Mondays, Tuesday, & Thursdays each week. Students are welcome to go 1, 2 or 3 evenings from 15:45 -18:15 p.m.
