“Oh yes we did!” our pupils from Le Chéile, 3rd, 4th and 6th class visited @theeverymancork to see the Cinderella. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience a live Christmas pantomime in a beautiful theatre thanks to the Creative Schools Initiative. Can we wait to do it all again tomorrow?! “Oh no we can’t”&nbsp;
<h4>MEALS ON WHEELS SAY THANKS</h4>
I have been a drivers coordinator with Cobh Meals on wheels for the last 4 years &amp; a driver for the last 8. I am privileged to work beside wonderful people who give freely of their time every month in our community. This is just a message to say thank you to everyone that volunteers for Cobh Meals on Wheels &amp; to volunteers everywhere who help those less fortunate in need in our communities.❤️ Happy Christmas from Cobh Meals on Wheels 🎄🎅 Yvonne Cahill

ALL-IRELAND MEDAL WINNERS CAOIMHE AND AVA Over 1,300 athletes raced on a classic cross country course in Conna, County Cork. Endowed with flat sections, downhills, long pulls, multiple sharp turns, mud, water and one energy-sapping uphill finish, several hundred spectators witnessed one epic race after another as athletes vied for national honours from U/11 right up to the mens and womens events. Covered live on the Athletics Ireland YouTube channel with outstanding on-field commentary in situ, the crowd and assembled athletes who had assembled from Derry to Dingle were treated to a fantastic spectacle, expertly hosted by local club, St. Catherine's A.C.&nbsp;

Ava A national bronze medallist as a scoring member of the U/15 Cork team and 45th overall at the National Cross Country Championships - AVA CHANDLER. This was achieved, in addition to her winning a national cross country silver medal with her county 2 weeks previously at U/16. After a long year of hard work on the streets and fields of Cobh, this result was so well deserved for this young lady who regularly applies herself with great fortitude.&nbsp;

Caoimhe And yet another Ballymore Cobh athlete to capture a national bronze medal, this time as a scoring member of the U/17 Cork team and 26th overall at the National Cross Country Championships - CAOIMHE CAROLAN. This teenager's quiet demeanour masks a steely determination to be reckoned with. Absolutely marvellous stuff. Our Men's team were inspired by their younger clubmates monumental achievements earlier in the day and gave a stellar account of themselves as they stood up to be counted to place 21st in the national club standings - a fair achievement considering that there are more than 350 Athletics Ireland-affiliated clubs nationwide. First across the line in the black and amber singlet was TREVOR CUMMINS who went at it hammer and tongs. So much so, indeed, that he crossed the line moments ahead of fellow competitor and Olympic rowing gold medallist, Paul O'Donovan of Leevale A.C. Rounding off a productive cross country season, SHANE MEYLER gave it his all over his favoured race discipline with a fullsome display of cross country running to follow Trevor home over the line. An accomplished effort followed from the ever-improving PETER HOWIE, who took to the challenging course with great gusto. Steadily and stealthily negotiating his way through the green fields of Conna, Peter gave a very impressive account of himself. One to watch. "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.” So said U.S. native KARL JACKSON upon seeing the cut-up muddied course he was about to race upon. He ain't no shrinking violet though and put in a fantastic effort to bring it home and secure 21st position for the Ballymore Cobh men's team. An appreciative thanks to our Ballymore Cobh Tigers who travelled in inclement weather to support their clubmates from our juvenile section on the day. And, of course, to the families of our young athletes who give them the support and encouragement that goes a long way to producing some of the outstanding results listed below.
