<p>✨123.ie National Novice &amp; Uneven Age Cross Country Championships✨<br><br>Wishing success to all of our athletes competing in the Athletics Ireland National Novice &amp; Uneven Age Cross Country Championships this Sunday. <br><br>Hot on the heels of a fabulous run at the National U/16 Cross Country Championships in Donegal a fortnight ago, Ava Chandler, in possibly the form of her life, runs in her own age category this time at U/15 level. <br><br>Stepping up out of her own age group and into the older U/17s, our County Cross Country U/16 Champion, Caoimhe Carolan, will fight it out for honours amongst the finest athletes of all the 32 counties of Ireland. <br><br>In the closing race of the day, The Novice Men's race sees Trevor Cummins, Peter Howie, Karl Jackson and Shane Meyler go elbow to elbow with the most promising athletes around, including a sizeable combination of wily young warriors and battle-hardened veterans. <br><br>📅Sunday December 4th, 2022<br>📍 Garryanne, Conna, Co. <p>A quiet weekend of fixtures this week. Best of luck to the 16s as they travel to Ennis Rugby Club to contest a play off on Sunday. <br>The next round of the Bank of Ireland series resumes next week for the 18.5 and 16s boys. Fixtures to follow.</p>

<p>The senior team had a great win over Carrigaline in the league  on the Stephen Ireland astro. Nathan O' Connell gave Wanderers the lead on 18 minutes from the penalty spot after George Keating was taken down in the area. Ciaran Griffin doubled the lead when the ball deflected off his knee following a corner whipped in by Mikey Foley that caused all sorts of problems for the Carrigaline defence. Ciaran completed the scoring after 78 minutes when a headed clearance from a corner fell to him on the edge of the box and his effort settled in the right hand corner of the net. An excellent performance all round&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Such wonderful community spirit was very evident once again at the annual Ballymore Community Centre Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony this evening.The lights were switched on by our fabulous community volunteer Eileen Armstrong followed by Christmas carols and treats for all.Noel Murtagh BCA introduced Eileen before the countdown and thanked all for helping and  attending this lovely event.With sincere gratitude to Yvonne and James Cahill, Ballymore  Trees,for donating the fabulous Christmas tree to the community and to Grainne for all her lovely treats of selection boxes and sweets.A final and big thank you to Martin, Olly, Des, Sean and Paul for all their great work putting up the tree, lights and decorations in the community centre.</p>
