<p>LEBANON TRAGEDY</p>

<p>Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of Óglaigh na hÉireann this afternoon, and with the family and friends of SOLDIER  killed and injured in last nights attack.</p>
<p>The soldier who lost his life was Sean Rooney aged 23 from Donegal. While seriously injured was Shane Kearney from Killeagh aged 22.</p>

<p>Our three parish churches are open to light a candle for the families and friends and the wider Defence Force community at this time. <br><br>Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.</p>

<p>We have developed<br>5 loop/pilgrim walks from Mt.Melleray. (See Map Board below.)</p>

<p>This work was grant aided and these walks will be inspected in January 2023 by the Trails Office of Sport Ireland.                                        We are having a walk on Wed. 28th Dec. (See poster) which will begin with a blessing, and walkers/pilgrims will be encouraged to light a candle and visit the crib after the walk as well as to enjoy refreshments.                          You are very welcome to walk with us and do bring a friend(s)!!!</p>

<p>We were thrilled to welcome members of Cobh GAA to Coláiste Muire last week with some of the silverware they won this season. <br><br>Pictured  are past pupils Adam, Darragh, George, Conor and Liam, and current students Adam, Sean, Luke, Ethan, James and Alex. Missing from this picture are Jake and Sam. <br><br>The trophies they brought to Coláiste Muire are the East Cork Championship trophy for Football, the Bishop Roche Trophy for the Football League  and the U16 Rebel Og Championship in Hurling. <br></p>

<p>The Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition, kindly sponsored by Port of Cork has come to an end and the results of the judging are in!  <br><br>The First Prize goes to Individuals Cobh who will receive a night away with breakfast and an evening meal at the stunning The Maritime Hotel Bantry, West Cork, Ireland. The worthy runner-up is Hard Wear House which receives a voucher for Jacob's Ladder, WatersEdge Hotel. The windows will definitely entice customers by making window shopping fun but also showcasing some of the shop's stock.  Congratulations to both!  <br><br>Thank you to our judges Hendrick Cobh Tidy Towns, Jackie Cobh Tourism and Mark The Sardinian.</p>
