<h3><strong>Amazing turnout for Mothers and Others Gaelic  ist night of  Footbal training on Wednesday. Before I called up to Colaiste Mhuire to observe the training,  I paid my first visit to the Cove Boxing training session at Ahern's near Belvelly and was hugely impressed with the turnout and the training. Congratulations to all who give of their time to help up to 100 young people in a tough discipling sport.  By the way there is a considerable waiting list. </strong></h3>
<h3><strong>I was told about 50 signed up for the football and on the law of averages an attendance of 30 would have been awesome. About 40 made the first session, they were halfway through their training and the first thing that struck me, was the happy atmosphere. The level of skills was unbelievable and particularly the hand passing, a difficult skill, was brilliant. Then on to the kicking skills and I was equally impressed. I can tell you with hand on heart that it was a huge tonic and uplift after getting a bit disillusioned, with the drop of so many  during the Covid lockdown. Having being involved at every level in the sport for 23  years, from training school teams to training 20 Cork teams to win All-Ireland underage  titles, tonight's experience was equally enjoyable and pleasing. Huge credit to all who turned out and particularly to Nessa, Eucharia John and company for making it all possible.
