Cobh won the COVID-19 Community Spirit Award in TidyTowns Ireland and the day arrived this weekend to pay it forward with the prize winnings to some of the community groups who kept us all together while we were apart. The recipients were Cobh Irish Red Cross Youth, Cobh Hospital, COBH Cathedral Carillon for Bells of Hope and Cobh Lions Club - Serving the Great Island. We were delighted to redistribute the award throughout the Cobh Community with Jimmy the Elf as Santa was busy in the North Pole! Our last Saturday work morning and we got the undercoat on the Lynch’s Quay railings as well as a big litter pick all around town.
Thank you for your support this year and we’ll be back out on our Saturday meetups in January as we’ll give our volunteers Christmas Day and New Year’s Day off Happy Christmas.

On Christmas week for three days in a row we had mass and Christmas dinner and a sing song at Park Rd Centre. I thoroughly enjoyed offering Mass for the 3 days and partaking of a beautiful Christmas dinner and the visit of Santa. Thanks to Breda and Ann and all the staff at Park Rd for the brilliant work they do. Thanks to Tony and the little drummer boy Terry for providing the music.

<h2>Colourful Calendar just a small left</h2>
For the past humber of I have produced a colourful calendar the proceeds donated to a worth cause. For the past number of years the proceeds have been given to support the Benedictine sisters at Admiralty House. They are an enclosed order and totally depend on the generosity of the general public to survive. There is perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in their oratory. The Bible garden is an oasis of peace and tranquility and it is beautifully maintained due to the many volunteers that ensure its upkeep. Two hundred calendars were printed and most have been disposed of. Not to interfere with the sales of the other 2 excellent calendars I did not put mine in the shops until I knew the others were sold. Now there is a very limited no left at BMC, Murphy's Centra and at the Benedictine Mount.&nbsp;
