<p>We were happy to celebrate the retirement of our beloved caretaker, Pat McCarthy in school thisThursday  morning!</p>
<p>Pat served our school very well, always making sure that our school was in tip top shape with a smile on his face!</p>
<p>Staff members enjoyed a couple of celebratory treats with Pat today from @ellenskitchencobh. He also received some lovely hand written cards with some personalised notes from the children and some flowers as a token of our gratitude.</p>
<p>Wishing Pat all the very best and remember, you'll always be welcome at Bunscoil Rinn An Chabhlaigh anytime!</p>

<p>Early start for Ms. O'Donnell's 4th class this morning setting off from school at 8.10am!!! Can't wait to explore the history of Cork City and U.C.C. and put our map skills to the test!!</p>

<p>Well done to all the boxers who travelled to Tipperary Boxing CLUB and Dungarvan Boxing Club tonight sparring, many thanks to both clubs for having us, well done to all boxers&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Principal, Staff and students of the school would like to thank all those who volunteered to help, on our annual clean-up day. We were delighted this year to welcome our community partners Cobh Tidy Towns who did tremendous work on the day. We would also like to thank our Transition year students who volunteered this year. As always, a huge thank you to our Parents Counsel who give of their time so generously to support our students and school on an ongoing basis. This year we undertook to paint the railings to the front of our building and to re plant and weed the flower boxes to the front of the school. We look forward to working with you in the future on other projects to keep our town looking beautiful.</p>
<h3>Brilliant game of football</h3>

<p>All that is best in Ladies Football,   brought joy to all who witnessed an absorbing game of football laced with silken skills and a total commitment, at the top field on this Thursday evening. The protagonists were  the young girls from Cobh and their counterparts from Midleton. It was billed as a development for girls under 12, in reality most of the girls were under 11and if this contest is anything to go by,  both clubs have much to look forward to in  future years. Cobh shaded the opening half and brought on a virtually new squad for the 2nd half which allowed  Midleton to get back to parity. Dave the referee arranged a shoot out with points to count at the end and stat too was an exciting addition. Well done to both sets of players for  giving us such an entertaining evening.</p>
