Ms. Lynch’s 3rd class showed just how talented they all were as they took part in a class talent show today. It was so lovely to see the children performing for their classmates, showcasing their many skills and talents!! Well done cailíní!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
<h3>ANCHIENT EGYPT--- Gael Scoil</h3>
Rang a 4 have been busy learning all about Ancient Egypt- An Éigipt Fadó. They did wonderful projects - as béarla agus Gaelilge. They also made Pyramids, mummies ( using lego characters) and made sarcophagus ( mummy coffins!) In science we even mummified an apple and an orange using a salt and bicarbonate of soda solution. We were amazed at the results. We also made Egyptian headdresses- and enjoyed listening to The Bangles- walk like an Egyptian! Bhaineamar an taitneamh as!!

Hola a todos/as! On the final day of the sixth class Takeover, we are going to be showing off cuanto estamos aprendiendo en nuestras classes de español (all the Spanish we have been learning!)
Sixth Class have been working with our Spanish teacher, Ms. López for the past couple of weeks and have come on leaps and bounds with our Spanish words and phrases!

<h3>Colaiste Fundraisers for Cobh Hospital</h3>
@colaistemuirecobh We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped raise €1,000 for Cobh Community Hospital.&nbsp;
We are delighted to have hosted our Annual Christmas Jumper Day again last December and we decided to nominate Cobh Community Hospital as our charity this year as the hospital is a fantastic local hospital with strong links to our school.&nbsp;

It was fitting to present our cheque to the hospital on Wednesday last, the day during Catholic Schools Week, the day that highlights the link we have with our Grandparents.
The Hospital are reached out to the wider community and invited everyone to take part in a “Cobh Christmas Jumper Day” on Friday 17th December last in aid of Cobh Hospital. Our Christmas Jumper Day was a huge success, and we are thrilled to have been involved in such a wonderful event.
THE SPIKE ISLAND 5km RETURNS!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sat 30th April. What other run includes a ferry journey and starts and ends in a 200 year old Fortress! With a brand new truly unique race medal, the entry cost includes the ferry over and back, a race number and time posted online, a marshalled course around our scenic and historic island, and water and fruit with race medal on completion. Prizes for the first 3 finishers in male and female category.&nbsp;
Those of you using recording devices also get a truly special sattalite map of your run around the star of Cork Harbour. Tickets are on sale now for Saturday April 30th, boats in at 4pm and 4.45pm with an optional short tour off the 4pm, and time to pop into some of our historic buildings before the race begins.&nbsp;
Each runner will then take on the stunning 5km route around our heritage island, with amazing views to Cobh and Cork harbour. There is a mixture of concrete and gravel surfaces, no grass.&nbsp;

The postman came and brought home Cobh’s Gold medal TidyTowns Ireland 2021 in a beautifully handcrafted wooden stand in smart sustainable packaging. Well done to everyone who has played a part in Cobh achieving Gold since 2015. The only way is up!&nbsp;
