<p>Tidy Towns announced today the launch of the SHINE initiative with the support of Cobh and Harbour Chamber, Credit Union and  business leaders. This is to assist Cobh businesses to upgrade their presentation to tourists to a highly professional standard this summer. The first of 90 liners arrives next week and the season is expected to be busy this year</p>

<p>Huge congrats to our U17s on winning the U17 Division 1 title today. A good 2-1 win today in Passage made it 14 wins from 14 games. 2 excellent goals from Liam O’Leary. With the win today, the U17s are only team under 17/18/19 to go the full season with a 100% win record. Well done to all the players, and to coaches Alan, John and Willie.</p>

<p>A really exciting game today with 10 goals! Youghal came out fast and scored a quick goal through a deflection and doubled their lead shortly after. Springfield Ramblers pulled one back and got a second not long after goal. Youghal took the lead again 3-2 into halftime time. Springfield levelled again with an excellent freekick! Both teams had chances throughout the second half and some great defending cleared a great Springfield Ramblers chsnce off the line and Youghal managed get one more over the line 4-3 with a couple of minutes to go. Springfield Ramblers kept pushing and pushing and were rewarded with an equaliser 4-4!! Full-time. Extra time was tight Youghal having the better chances and in the last 6 mins of extra time Yough grabbed what would seem to be a winner. Springfield Ramblers determination pushed Youghal all the way and Springfield Ramblers got another well deserved equaliser!!! 5-5 and into penalties. Lily Walsh Curley scored a penalty and saved 2!!!&nbsp;</p>

<p>Well done to our U12 girls who progress to the semi final of the u12 shield with a 3 2 away win AET at Douglas Hall. Leading 2 0 at the break with goals from Sarah Drumgoole and Clara Nash we looked to be comfortable but to their credit the Douglas Hall girls put on alot of pressure and got 2 of their own before the full time whistle. Extra time was needed and the Cobh girls put in a huge effort even after losing 3 strong players to injury during the game and Lily O Leary scored to seal the win. Well done girls and thanks to Douglas Hall for a very tough but sporting match.</p>
