<p>Our JB Carr team put up a great fight against the Fermoy men last weekend and were unlucky to lose on the 17th, it was a very tight sporting match, well done to all who played…we will be back!</p>

<p>Our Barton Shield team play Douglas at Douglas GC this Saturday at 15.15.</p>
<p>Our team(Pairs) are Niall Doonan &amp; Gavin Lynch, Adam Donnachie &amp; Patrick Donnachie</p>
<p>Barton shield is senior level(lowest handicaps) and is contested over two foursomes matches with aggregate scores determining the winners.</p>

<p>Saturday starts off with our Mini Section hosting Dolphin RFC at nearly all the age grades in the Paddocks. Please note, parking is limited and we ask parents/guardians to be mindful of our neighbours in Newtown/Ballynoe and if possible, car pool or drop &amp; go.</p>
<p>Our u12s have a big day out at Midleton RFC blitz, so, best of luck to them and enjoy the day.</p>
<p>The first of the youth finals for the Club, will be Saturday lunch time, with a 12:00pm KO, at The Farm, Curraheen Road, Cork, when the u14s play Skibbereen in the Bowl Final.</p>
<p>Sunday is action packed again, the 13s continue with their league programme in the Paddocks at 10:30am, all support for the team greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Things move to the city then, with the 16s playing Bandon in the South Munster League final, again, at the The Farm, Curraheen Road, KO is 1:30pm.</p>

<p>Next up, it is over to the J1 adult team as they head to Musgrave Park with a 3pm KO, where they will close out their season with the Munster Junior Plate Final against Thurles RFC.</p>

<p>Moving into next week, the U18s resume competitive action when they host Clonakilty on Wednesday with an 8pm KO in the Paddocks in the South Munster U18 Cup semi-final.</p>

<p>Residencies were key to the original vision for SIRIUS, and the institution has been a place for artists to work since its foundational years. In 1994, the first resident was James Turrell, and his presence set the ambition for the years to follow. Recently, we have been establishing a framework for artists in residence to be context responsive while testing their existing modes of working.</p>
<p>This approach is central to the project that we are developing with Partisan Social Club, an evolving provisional collective set up by Mel Jordan and Andy Hewitt. They consider how working on something together enables a process of opinion formation (public spheres) and the establishment of new or expanded values (politics for subjective transformation).</p>
<p>They are researching the work of William Thompson, a Cork-born social reformer whose writings were closely studied by Karl Marx and anticipated some of his fundamental ideas around political economy. Thompson’s comprehensive critique of capitalism puts forward proposals for a co-operative social model.</p>

<p>First up at 6:30 pm, our 16s take on Fr Mathews. Both teams represented the CLBB in the recent All Ireland Club Championship in Gormanston. Both teams met in Cobh recently with Fr Mathews taking the victory. Cobh will need to deal with the inside presence of Lucie Healy and the guard play of Rachel Bowdren. If this happens, we will be hoping for a positive result. Cobh will be looking for big performances from Leah Duggan, Emma O’Keeffe and Katie Tarrant in the guard spots and from Lucy O’Shea, Sarahrose Walsh and Sally Palmer in the forward spots. Unfortunately Leah O’Connell picked up an injury in the semifinal win over Bantry last night and misses the final.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The U18A final at 8 pm sees Cobh meet old rivals Limerick Celtics. Limerick claimed the victory in the recent U18 National Cup games in Limerick and the girls know that we will have to be on top of our game against them. Internationals, Lucy Devoy, Issey Leahy and Ali Walsh are all capable of big scores from the perimeter while Amy Buckley and Gandy Malou give them a considerable inside presence. Our own international Amy Duggan is capable of producing another big performance against the Celtics. Orlaith Finn, Mia Tarrant, Eimear Diggin and Anna Ring are all very capable players on the perimeter and will be hoping to add to our scoring threat. Zara Smith and Jane Palmer will be handed the job of dealing with the Limerick post players and the result of this battle will go a long way to seeing who will take home the cup. U16s, Lucy O’Shea and Sally Palmer will play up in support.&nbsp;</p>
