The seniors bagged all three points against Douglas Hall at a bitterly cold Stephen Ireland Astro. A scrappy first half was lit up by Stuart O' Rourke who held off the defender to poke home the lead goal following a great cross from Cian O' Connor. A long clearance up the pitch from Shane Hallahan in the first minute of the second half was headed away by the 'Hall keeper from outside his box.
The ball fell to Alan O' Flynn who instinctively lobbed into the empty net from 30 yards for a great finish and a 2-0 lead. Chances were scarce but Douglas managed to bag what turned out to be a consolation goal in the 90th minute. Well done to all involved as the seniors bring their points total to 20 and plenty to play for with six league games remaining.&nbsp;

 Best wishes to Cobh Basketball Club Women in the quarter-finals of the Basketball Ireland U18 National Cup. They travel to Clondalkin to face Dublin Lions Basketball Club,
At one of four qualifying tournaments recently they finished as runners up to a very strong Limerick Celtics team. While Limerick had home advantage it would be fair to say they were deserving winners of the qualifying tournament. Despite losses to Limerick Celtics, the girls secured the second qualifying spot by defeating Glanmire, Belfast Star and Malahide.&nbsp;

Volunteers replacing storm-damaged flags, removing stickers, preparing railings for painting, washing bird droppings from seats and picking litter in Cobh this morning, all to keep standards up in Ireland's Tidiest Large Town. Dumping nappies and bags of dog poo into hedges doesn't help or show much respect.

A big day at the races in store on Sunday with two Ballymore-Cobh athletes primed and ready to roll at Maratón de Sevilla.
