<h3>Gael Scoil Ui Eigearthaigh score brilliant win at Pairc Ui Chaoimh</h3>

<p>Brilliant win for Gael Scoil at the Sciath na Scoil hurling final at Pairc ui Chaoimh to day Friday. A strong wind and a heavy shower made it very difficult for 2 fine teams, who had  some outstanding hurlers,  fought out a terrific battle right to the end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Cobh boys seemed to have the edge in the scoring stakes against St Mary's on the Hill,  but each time the city boys were in arrears they  fought back with goals. In the end Gael Scoil and their  loyal supporters were relieved to hear the final whistle,  leaving them close victors on a score line of 3-3 to 3-1. The joy at the final whistle was palpable and you clearly see  what winning means to the school, the players, parents and supporters and teachers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Commiserations to a very gallant St Mary’s on the Hill team who played excellently on the day. Hurling was the winner today. Both teams will have fond memories of this game forever.</p>

All children and young people are invited to come along for celebration of creativity at which there will be lots of fun filled entertainment provided by children and young people of all levels.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Ireland is the first, and only, country in the world to have a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18. Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people.  🎨🎨🎬🎬🎤🎤🎸🥁</p>
<p>Young people from Cobh Youth Services performing and exhibiting their creativity on the day.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>A virtual art exhibition displayed in Cobh Library (along with story telling for children) and a live performance by our youth band 'Stereo Noggins',  at the Mall Arts Centre in Youghal between 12 to 3pm.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>FRANK SWEENEY: SIRIUS and aemi’s 2022 commissioned artist</p>
<p>SIRIUS is partnering with aemi to commission a new film by the artist Frank Sweeney. The partnership between SIRIUS and aemi  benefit from continued</p>
<p>support and mentorship throughout the year from both organisations as well as</p>
<p>a residency at SIRIUS.</p>
<p>Frank’s new film, 2 Channel Land, looks at the history of analogue radio and television signals spilling across the borders of Ireland and Britain. Blurring the line between narrative and documentary, the work explores the relationship between these transmissions and collective identities.</p>
<p>The commissioned film premieres at Cork International Film Festival in November 2022 and features as part of a solo show at SIRIUS in the summer of 2023.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Amazing how many people from the early cruise ship visits asking about the "Lovely Cobh Train".</p>
<p>Obviously people making return visits to Cobh and remembering the colored train that took them around the town.</p>
