<h3><span style="color: rgb(184,49,47);">Football Under 12 girls impressive</span></h3>

<p><img src="https://d2hz75cbudexsj.cloudfront.net/insideAppNews/images/81d05558-34c9-4806-a23a-251622309e39.jpg" alt="undefined" style="float:none;height: auto;width: auto"/>Great outing for the under 12 Girls against Rockban at Whitechurch on Monday evening. The standard of football was top class and in the first half the under 12's in the panel played and led at the interval. The 2nd half all the under 11's were included and they despise being much smaller than their opponents gave as good as they got and showed tremendous promise. The type of football was a joy to watch and a tribute to the coaches who worked with them for the past few years. One remarkable aspect was one of the under 11's was put into goal in the 2nd half and it was amazing to see the accuracy she showed with her kick outs in 10 of them she found a teamate in every one of them,  a factor that even Senior Co players find it difficult to get right. The mentors of the under 12 girls this year have an exciting year ahead, this was the girls Ist competitive game of the season. Another plus was the huge support which went to encourage the girls</p>

<p>Our Cub Section had a fun day out at Cuskinny Court over the weekend doing the climbing wall, zipline, Archery and obstacle course.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The artist Fiona Kelly is working with us on a solo show featuring a new work that she has been researching and producing in the last couple of years via ongoing dialogue with us and facilitated by a residency at GannonECO.&nbsp;</p>
<p>“I make objects and printed matter with the aid of a foraged, ever-expanding archive of waste that holds a compendium of debris; its natural and human-made constituents are altered and arranged to narrate human interactions with land and extractive unmaking.”</p>

<p>We had a fantastic event with Dr. Jenny Butler this past Saturday 23 April as part of Marie Brett's exhibition The Hidden Mountain, The Fort and the Five Trees, which we are currently presenting. In our building's balcony and within a circle, we discussed the themes of the exhibition, and more broadly the artist’s practice, through the lens of cultural lore, benefiting from Butler’s research on Western esotericism, folklore and emergent religious traditions.</p>

<p>Well done to the u15 footballers who had a good win over Kilta Og last weekend.     Best of luck to these boys who will represent Cobh in the County Feile Qualifiers this Saturday in Castlemartyr. First match 10.30.</p>

<p>Our U13s march on to the quarter finals of the Local Cup after beating a physical Kanturk side away this Tuesday  evening.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Goals from Cillian O’ Connell (2), Max Meade and Jakub Wolny ( at long last !).&nbsp;</p>
<p>A great squad effort gives us a home quarter final against Mallow Town.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A shout out to the hardy souls who braved the trip to Kanturk on a Tuesday evening to cheer the lads on!</p>

<p>The Presentation Brothers Schools Trust organised an Irish Essay competition amongst its 8 member schools to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Ms. Sheehan's 5th Year Irish class won the 1st prize &amp; Jenny Bell, a student in the class, won the 2nd prize.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Michael Sexton, CEO &amp; Carmel Murphy, Chairperson of the Board of Directors PBST, called to the school recently to present the prizes.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The class donated its prize to the Irish Red Cross Ukranian Appeal.&nbsp;</p>
