<p>September is World Alzheimer's Month, an international campaign to raise dementia awareness and challenge stigma. Each year, Alzheimer and dementia associations, alongside all those involved in the treatment, care and support of people living with dementia, from around the world unite to organise advocacy and information provision events, as well as Memory Walks and fundraising days.</p>

<h2>Cycle against Suicide</h2>

<p>See  info on a cycling event taking place in Cork this Saturday (3rd September), taking in Carrigtwohill and Cobh, whose goal is to raise awareness around mental health and suicide, particularly in the context of masculine stereotypes and mental health.</p>
<p>In advance of World Suicide Prevention Day, 2022, Cycle Against Suicide (CHY 20867) is hosting a Bike4Life- awareness cycle in Cork on Saturday, September 3rd to fight the stigmas around masculinity and mental health.  With 3 out of 4 suicides in Ireland each year being male, the aim of our Cork cycle and after event is to spread the message to men of all ages throughout Cork that asking for help is never a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. In Ireland, 300 men died by suicide in 2019.  Better mental health literacy can prevent deaths, helping Irish men express their feelings and seek support. <p>&nbsp;Our Cork awareness cycle is a fun, family-friendly event which starts and finishes at Marina Market, on Saturday 3rd September. <p>Tiernan O’Brien’s double had the score locked at 2-2 and it was Cobh who progressed 4-2 after penalties in Waterford&nbsp;</p>
