The sky might be grey in Cobh on Sunday but the blooms are brightening up our town everywhere.&nbsp;
Spearheaded by Rosarii Ryan and supported by the Cobh Credit Union Pride of Place Bursary, the residents of West View have been very imaginative with flower displays to complement the house's painting scheme and beautiful park on the hill. The flower boxes have broken the mould on flower displays by including Lobelia cardinalis, Erysimum, Stachys, Geranium Rozanne, Sedum, Centaurea, Lavender and Heuchera that may attract bees and will bloom all summer. They've even included herbs like Golden Oregano and Mint and vibrant Petunias just for colour!!
Flowers have gone up on the steps at Cobh Tourist Office and they are looking gorgeous already.
Thanks to Cork County Council for getting their pollinator friendly flower towers out in Casement and Pearse Squares too.&nbsp;
The Five Foot Way is looking stunning and is absolutely buzzing.

A most interesting and educational talk on marine life in Cuskinny beach, by local resident John Armstrong of Cork Nature Network, was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended this afternoon.John taught us about a variety of seashells, sea insects, sea birds,starfish, crabs,seaweeds,sea rocks and anemone as we came across them today on the walk.Well done to John for a fascinating and informative afternoon on marine life and to all attendees.
