<p>The Great island 4 Peaks Challenge team, presenting the monies raised to the Mercy Hospital Cancer Care Clinic and Cobh Hospital, from their recent annual Spinathon.</p>
<p>The Mercy Hospital received €1996 and Cobh Hospital €500</p>
<p>We would like to express our gratitude to John Paul and his staff at Super Valu Cobh, for their help and support on the day</p>
<p>Ber Rowe and the crew at Coral Leisure for the use of their bikes and for taking part on the day. Cobh GAA, Cobh for Football, Cobh Pirates &amp; the U19's Munster Cup Winners, Ballymore AC,Cobh Tri-Club, Fota Fitness, Rushbrook LTC, Train With Trevor, Ashleys A+ Fitness.</p>

<h3>Cobh Golf club----Annual Fund Raiser - volunteers required</h3>

<p>This weekend our annual club fund raiser will take place. The competition is an open Gents and Ladies, stableford competition. There are great individual prizes with a prize fund in excess of €3,000.</p>
<p>The star prize for the weekend is a new car for a hole in one on the tenth hole. Strict terms and conditions required to have TWO people (aged over 18) stationed at the tenth tee throughout the weekend to witness a hole in one. We have Friday and Sunday sorted. If anyone has some spare time on Saturday and wishes to help, please let us know, by emailing info@cobhgolfclub.ie and let us know what time you can help.</p>
<p>If a hole in one is not witnessed by someone other than the players playing the hole, then the car may not be won.</p>
<p>As the fund raiser is vital for the club finances, we ask all our members to play in the competition and consider playing with guests to increase revenue. Members €20 Visitors €35</p>
<p>A big thank you to all the hard work put in by our members and club pro in putting the weekend competition together. All be need now is good weather and good golf and hopefully a winner of a brand-new car sponsored by Cogan motors. There are many great prizes on offer this week from green fees to hotel vouchers.</p>
<p>The fund-raising raffle, with a golf hamper including old head green fees, will run throughout the weekend and close next week. €5 for one line or three lines for €10.</p>

<h3>Cobh Community Hospital Knitting Group</h3>
<p>We meet on a Wednesday morning with the residents for a chat a cuppa and a sing song we need more volunteers to ensure this continues to be a wonderful experience for the residents. Please contact this page if interested. We can guarantee volunteers get as much from the morning as the residents do.Volunteers are not committed to doing every Wednesday morning.</p>
