<h3>St Mary's Squad</h3>
<p>Brilliant day at Sciath na Scoil football blitz at Cobh GAA. Organized by St Mary's 6 teams took part. Two from the hosts St Mary’s Cobh as well as two each from Little island and Carrigtwohill. Each team got a minimum of  3 games and the finalists 4 games. The blitz gave an opportunity to girls to play football with no Sciath na Scoil games  for football for 3 years. After very exciting games the two Carrigtwohill teams  met in the final. Many thanks to the teachers Ms Hanley   and Ms Maher St Mary’s. Thanks to Don Ryan, Colm Cotter and Eucharia Gould for getting everything ready. Thanks to Colm and John Coughlan a teacher in Carrigtwohill for reffing all the games. Thanks to Cobh Gaa for the use of the pitch. Thanks to Garveys SuperValu for supplying a treat for all the girls, in the shape of Tangerines and apples very much appreciated after their  days exertions.</p>

<p>Fantastic effort all round already  with new signage erected at the top and bottom of The Rock,painting of the mid street bollard at Lower Midleton Street, litter picking on walks and flowers blooming and buzzing at the Burma Steps, Christ Church Rushbrooke Cobh, The Bench and Titanic Garden. All topped off with more bright colours added to the picnic benches at Whitepoint ! Thank you to everyone for giving up your time&nbsp;</p>

<p>We're asking people to keep our amenities enjoyable for everyone by doing their part to keep the county clean and look out for one another.</p>
<h3>Norma retiring</h3>

<p>Our beloved secretary Norma Coughlan will retire at the end of the school year after 43 years of work in St Mary’s.</p>
<p>Norma has devoted herself to the pupils, parents and staff in our school for so many years and she will be terribly missed by all.</p>
<p>Today we celebrated Norma’s retirement with past and present St Mary’s staff gathering for a special lunch.</p>
<p>We wish Norma all the best for her retirement and she embarks on this next chapter of her life. No doubt she will make many more happy memories.</p>

<p>We  handed over a massive €6,134 to our chosen charities which was the icing on the cake to finish off an amazing 16 weeks!&nbsp;</p>
