<p>In line with Cobh Credit Unions' ongoing support of young Cobh sporting talent, Cobh Credit Union is delighted to sponsor Amy Duggan of Cobh Basketball Club.</p>
<p>Amy Duggan represented her club and country in the Under 18 Basketball Championships in Bulgaria over the past fortnight with great distinction.</p>
<p>Speaking at the presentation of the sponsorship, Liam O Doherty CEO of Cobh Credit Union said “This is a fantastic achievement but has been built on hard work by Amy, with the support of her family &amp; Cobh Basketball Club. We recognise Amy and her family's sacrifices to get to this point and hope that our sponsorship will help in her future development.”</p>
<p>All sponsorship can only be possible because of the support of the members of Cobh Credit Union who use Cobh Credit Union as their loan provider of choice. Cobh Credit Union operates an extensive community sponsorship programme that provides support to many local clubs, societies, individuals, and schools in the local community.</p>

<p>With an incredible 30 volunteers out on a scorching morning in Cobh we litter picked, painted poles and began the delicate task of painting the decorations on the freshly painted bandstand thanks to Cork County Council. Thanks to our volunteer Eileen and husband Frans for inviting us for a cuppa and delicious food after the morning in their beautiful garden with its breathtaking views. Great work, great company and great weather!</p>
