The Senior Women held their end of season awards. All awards were voted for by the players and management

Club person of the year- Mary Mc Donnell

This award recognises a players contribution on and off the pitch to the club including to team culture and the work of Springfield Ramblers. Mary works with our girls academy and also is a member of the Committee.

Most improved player- Robyn O'Sullivan

It wasn't long ago Robyn was winning the John Murphy award which is the overall schoolgirl of the year award. Robyn has quickly made herself a mainstay in the senior squad and has continuously worked hard all season to improve.

Player of the year- Amy O'Reilly

It didn't come as any surprise that this player received the vote of everyone of her teammates. A new addition to the squad this season, she quickly became an integral part of the squad and on many occasions this season kept the girls in games with some outstanding saves.

U19s player of the year was also presented to Amy Kennedy who returned from America. Amy was a integral part of our U19s and senior squad this season.

Finally the girls made a presentation to Steve Mulcahy who announced at the end of the season he would be stepping aside from his role as manager of the senior team. Anyone who knows Women's Soccer in Cobh knows the work Steve puts in and the club wouldn't be in the position their in with having an outstanding school girls and womens section without all of his work over the last number of years. Steve brought the majority of the senior team up together from the ages of U12 to now senior. The girls want to thank him for everything he has done, for the foundations he has laid. Management of the senior team will now be passed over to John Griffin and we look forward as a club to seeing where John will bring the girls. We know there are some exciting plans in place.
