<h3>Tidy Towns</h3>

<p>Another fantastic night for our 1 hour Wednesday Community Challenge and our volunteers were joined by members of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. We swept the roadside verges along town cleaning up silt,cigarette butts and general grot build up. The Promenade was given a big sweep too. Thanks to the help from our sporting friends the famous canons were painted, the fairy door in the playground was painted and the seats were given a good scrub to remove bird poop in preparation for the Cobh People's Regatta this weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out for the hour.</p>

<p>We really do get the best views of visiting liners from our spot up on High Road! 😍&nbsp;</p>
<p>For any of our lovely visitors to Cobh, you'll find your way to Cobh Museum either by following the sign across from @cobhheritagecentre (see picture), or if you don't fancy all those steps, you can just stroll up to us by turning left when you meet the main road.</p>
<h3>National Heritage Week at SIRIUS</h3>

<p>The building in which SIRIUS is located served as the headquarters and clubhouse of the Royal Cork Yacht Club from 1854 to 1966. The building is of architectural significance and has a rich historical and cultural legacy.</p>

<p>SIRIUS is celebrating the heritage of the building and the wider context of the historic town of Cobh and Cork Harbour through a tour that sheds light on its design and the broader historical context in which it was built.</p>

<p>The season is creeping up on us - Our juvenile tag rugby is commencing in the coming weeks. Starting Monday 15th August with registration at 6.30 pm followed by the first round of games. The finals will be held the weekend of the 26th of August. The tag will cater for girls and boys u6 to u16s, and only have a €2 registration fee. We are really looking forward to welcoming the kids back to the Paddocks for the run into the 2022/23 season ahead.</p>
<h3>Dr Dec and the side effects will take to the stage in Casement Square on Sunday from 3pm-5pm. These guys are known all over the town for their blues/rock performances.</h3>
