<p>Following on from last year’s successful ‘Get Cobh Buzzing’ campaign Cobh Tidy Towns are back looking for your help to ‘Keep Cobh Buzzing’ this summer. 🐝🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🐝</p>
<p>Come along to the Carrig House car park on Saturday 23rd April between 10.15 and 11.15 to collect some seed and plants to start your garden buzzing.</p>
<p>Planting bee friendly flowers is an easy and fun way to help feed our buzzing friends. The Sunflower is a spectacular summertime plant, rich in nectar and pollen as well as being the perfect colour to attract bees. Our packs of seeds will help the bees and turn the gardens of Cobh yellow in solidarity with Ukraine whose national flower is the sunflower. We also have pollinator friendly plants grown from seeds that we harvested last Autumn in Cobh. Our Gaisce students sowed them under glass in December - Common selfheal, Common Knapweed, Common Toadflax, White Valerian, Hedge Woundwort, Knautia macedonia, Verbena bonariensis and Borage.</p>
<p>Seeds and plants are free but donations towards the Irish Red Cross Ukraine appeal will be welcome. Come along to get your garden at home, school, work, preschool or sports grounds buzzing. <h3><span style="color: rgb(184,49,47);">Gaa Bingo.</span></h3>
<p>It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the end of our bingo in the hall and online.</p>
<p>Cobh GAA bingo has been running for over 30 years and through the pandemic it was a great night for people to relax and enjoy a night without worries.</p>
<p>But over the last few months we have been at a loss with restrictions lifting and people returning to normal life again and sadly we have not seen many numbers returning to us.</p>
<p>We have pondered all our options and gone through it all and we have come to the conclusion that it is no longer viable for us to continue running bingo at this moment in time.</p>
<p>We want to thank all our players from over the years and through the pandemic for your continued support.</p>
<p>We also want to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped in bingo in any way shape or form over all the years too, it is so much appreciated, we couldn’t have done it without ye!</p>
<p>We will revisit this in the future and hopefully see you all back in the hall again! ❤️</p>
