Rushbrooke Rowing Club, are East Cork, Cork County and All Ireland Champions. The original club ceased in the late 1960's when the original wooden clubhouse and boats were engulfed by a fire. In 1989, local residents decided to restart the club and agreed on using the 'Yawl' class Racing boat. On completion of the club's first boat, 'The Christopher G' in 1990, Rushbrooke won its first gold All Ireland Medal, thanks to our U12s at the Camber in Cobh. Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength, and continues to grow. We have proudly hosted the County Finals on 3 occasions, in 2004, 2009 and 2016, and still find the time to get involved in charitable causes both locally and nationally.
