Designed by Decimus Burton in 1849, the terrace overlooking the Promenade begins with the former Methodist church at the west end. The central focus of this Victorian terrace is the Commodore Hotel, formally the Queen’s Hotel built in 1854. The terrace continues in a curvature of equally ornate buildings which opens-up onto Casement Square.
