A terrace of Victorian houses built in the 1850’s for the Victorian elite, allowing them to reside with uninterrupted views of the harbour in the safety of a gated community. An architectural first for a domestic dwelling in Ireland was that these houses were built with the luxury of an internal lavatory, a necessity for residents of such high social standing! An additional three houses were later built in the 1880’s to complete the splendid terrace of thirteen houses.
