'POWER HOUSE' CHIMNEY STACK

Dating back to 1907, situated adjacent to the site of the old public baths, the towering chimney stack is a prominent landmark on the eastern side of the town. It is the only remaining structure from the old “Power House” which generated electricity for the town prior to inclusion to the national grid.
