OLD CUSTOMS BUILDING

Early twentieth century Former Customs House, this building has undergone extensive renovation in recent years. The red brick, terracotta dressings and lettered limestone door-surround hark back to its importance during a time of great trade and transportation. Now in use as the local Social Welfare Office. Its façade still makes a strong statement on Lynch's Quay, formerly Ballast Quay.
