On August 4th, 2020, the Whale’s Tail Restaurant was awarded 2020 Traveller’s Choice by Tripadvisor, ranking us in the top 10 per cent of restaurants worldwide. This follows on from our nomination for ‘Best Dining Experience’ at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2020, earlier this year. Not bad for year one in business. Our head Chef Danny Barter said, “Winning this award is a credit to our floor and kitchen staff. We take great pride in using locally produced ingredients, catering for all types of food allergies, sprinkling a little piece of love into every dish we create.” When we opened our doors in March 2019, we were excited and enthusiastic about what the future had to hold for us. Our restaurant manager Helen Tynan said, “Every day is a new experience, we are always adding to our diverse menus and popular cocktail and wine list. We have an extremely creative team that is always looking for new ways and ideas to make our dining experience extra special.”
