Westcountry Willows

Throughout history, humans have used the beauty of the natural resources that grew around them to create usable items. Basketry itself has been around since around 8000 BC and predates pottery and stone carving. The use of natural materials such as wood and skins has played a major role in the evolution of humans and their knowledge. We live and work in the beautiful bogs of Midwest rural Ireland, surrounded by willows and rushes and wilderness, we create baskets and crafts with what grows around us, our passion is to share this journey with others, teaching natural crafts true to our roots and heritage.
