Embracing tradition and Ireland’s long and storied brewing heritage, Black Donkey’s beers are still brewed the same way beer’s been brewed for generations. The beer is never filtered, and no chemicals, findings, or other additives are ever used.
The brewery specialises in brewing traditional, yeast, and malt-focused beers. Black Donkey created the Irish Farmhouse Ale style with the launch in 2014 of their flagship “Sheep Stealer”.
The entire brewing and packaging process “from grain to glass” takes place in the 560M2 brewery, in the village of Ballinlough, all Black Donkey beers are bottled or kegged on site.
