Rathcroghan Visitor Centre is located in the medieval village of Tulsk, within the royal complex of Cruachan, the oldest and largest unexcavated Royal Complex in Europe. The visitor centre houses an award-winning museum and provides access to the historical monuments that are dotted throughout the surrounding landscape. Rathcroghan is home to 240 identified archaeological sites, including medieval ringforts, standing stones, stone forts, and the Cave of Cruachan - Oweynagat (Cave of the Cats) which was described as the 'Hellsmouth of Ireland' by fearful Christian scribes. The centre won the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice for 2021. Rathcroghan Visitor Centre is the ideal place to explore the Rathcroghan complex and medieval Tulsk through its museum, interpretive exhibition rooms, and self-guided tours. An on-site cafe tops off the experience. Admission is free for children under 10.
