Holy Trinity Graveyard

This Enclosed Church of Ireland graveyard, established c.1700, is of particular interest as the remains of Thomas Wilde, grandfather of Oscar Wilde lie here. The Wilde family burial vault is located in Holy Trinity Cemetery, which in turn, is located to the left of the main access road to The Demesne. This was also the location of the original Church of Ireland Holy Trinity Church, which was established in 1703. The ruin of this building is still identifiable with the Venetian window to the east gable intact.
