McLoughlin’s Bar

Established since 1870 fourth generation McLoughlins family run pub, ideally situated within the heart of Achill Sound, just past the Davitt quarter, and passed the Church. The pub offers a fabulous experience for all the family, there is always a roaring fire in the winter and great hospitality and service. The pub has all Sky sports and EIR, BT and ESPN. We have pool and darts and a wide selection of board games and drawing facilities for the children so they can enjoy themselves also. The pub serves a fantastic selection of larger and we also stock our very own Achill brew, along side the coldest and tastiest pint of Guinness. We were voted Achill Islands favourite pub 2015 and 2016. There is seating to the front and rear of the pub, there is a fabulous beer garden under cover for comfort and the front boasts an amazing view of the sea and Slievemore mountain in the distance. The sunsets are amazing to watch on a summers evening. A modest, simple but excellent food menu is served, but primarily we are a traditional pub with very traditional values. There is always a warm welcome and traditional music is available every Sunday evening from 6pm till 8 30pm and during the height of the tourist season there is music up to four nights a week.
