Achill

<a href="https://www.aerlingus.com/" target="_blank">Aer Lingus</a> has annou nced a new route from London Heathrow airport direct to <a href="https://www.irelandwestairport.com/" target="_blank">Ireland West Airport Knock</a>, in County Mayo. Due to c ommence on 26th March with daily flights to the British capital, the route allows visitors easy access to Achill Island. Achill is just 80 minutes’ drive from Knock Airport. There are also coach services connecting the airport to Westport, where foot passengers can then connect to Bus Eireann route 450 to Achill.
The addition of the Heathrow route means that passengers can fly to Mayo from all four London airports, as <a href="https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en" target="_blank">Ryanair</a> flies from London Luton and London Stanstead airports and Aer Lingus also has flights up to seven times a week from London Gatwick.
Passengers in other regions of the UK can fly to Knock from six other airports. Ryanair operates flights from Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
