Fuchsia Cottage is located just up the hill from the Village of Keel on Achill Island, County Mayo, along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The original stone cottage was built for the Lavelle family in 1922. Family members conscientiously restored the cottage to maintain it’s traditional charm with modern comforts to make it the perfect base for your stay in Achill. This self-catering cottage is furnished with a modern kitchen, sizeable inside sitting room, 3 bathrooms and sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms. Additional amenities include free WiFi, dvd players and private off-road parking. The cottage overlooks Keel Bay, the Minaun Cliffs and Clare Island to the front with lovely mountain scape to the back. Just a short walk to the Village and the beautiful Keel Strand. Achill Island has great natural beauty and many outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, sea angling, surfing, kite surfing, snorkeling, golf, swimming, diving, horseback riding, windsurfing, sea-kayaking and cycling. Archeological sites and spectacular scenery abound in Achill, which is a haven for writers, artists and musicians.
